According to the above report, the EU violated relevant regulations in its anti-dumping case against China's steel fasteners, so the European Commission decided to initiate an anti-dumping review of the steel fasteners originating in China. In November 2007, the EU launched an anti-dumping investigation against steel fasteners originally manufactured in China; in January 2009, the European Union made a definite final ruling on the case. On July 31, 2009, China asked to hold consultations with the European Union on the above-mentioned anti-dumping measures; on October 12, 2009, China requested the establishment of an expert group; on December 3, 2010, the report of the expert group was distributed to all WTO members; On March 25, the European Union appealed; on July 15, 2011, the report of the appeal panel was distributed to WTO members.
