Gold ions react with sulfur-containing amino acids in hair keratin to form tiny gold nanoparticles, which are only 40,000 to 60,000 in diameter. These gold particles and the hair itself are perfectly integrated, very firm, and will not fade after repeated washing, and will also emit beautiful luster under the lighting.
However, there are still some disadvantages to dyeing with gold. People usually dye their hair for only one or two hours, but they spend far more time in gold. It takes at least 7 hours to turn white hair into light gold, and even a full 16 days if it is dyed dark brown!
