Kiwifruit harvesting and post-harvest treatment

1. Harvesting. Kiwifruit used for storage should be harvested when the fruit stops growing, the seeds are dark brown, and the starch content is high but has been converted to sugar. Generally, the soluble solid content is preferably from 7.5% to 8.5%. The kiwifruit for storage can be harvested more than 5 days after the rain, and the orchard cannot be filled for 10 days before harvesting. Harvesting should be carried out on sunny days, and lightly handled during harvesting to minimize mechanical damage. Fruits should be removed in time for mechanical damage, residual fruit and pests, and then put the fruit in a wooden box or plastic crates, and put them in a cool place for transportation.

2. Post-harvest handling. The fruit is pre-cooled on the day after harvest, and the temperature of the fruit is reduced to about 5 °C within 24 hours, and then the temperature of the reservoir is lowered to 0 °C as soon as possible. It can also be pre-cooled by natural low temperature conditions, but the time required is longer. difference. Before grading, dilute 100 times solution with 0.5% thiophanate-methyl or 2000 mg/kg for 1000-fold dilution with 0.5% thiophanate-methyl solution for 1 to 2 minutes, which has good antiseptic effect.
