This critical phase requires that the action be gentle and rescue in a safe and rapid manner. Rough handling can make the wound worse. In particular, consider the following:

1 , excessive body curvature will worsen the spine trauma / pelvic trauma. Try to keep the wounded straight and do not flip it.

2. Crude treatment can cause internal / external bleeding that may already begin to condense , as well as increased pain and discomfort. Try to divert the wounded in an appropriate way.

Fixing is part of the dressing that was performed before the wounded was removed from the vehicle. This ensures that the wounds will be controlled before and after the wounded move. During the rescue process, the on-site medical team can move the injured to prepare for the rescue.

This process may involve:

Rescue is the removal of the wounded from the vehicle. Because the level of training of rescue workers around the world is different from the use of equipment, it is difficult to fully specify how to implement this stage of rescue. However, the general method is to use a long board for rescue.

Rescue route

If possible, the ultimate rescue route should allow the wounded to get out of the front of the vehicle first. This makes cervical management more convenient. It is important to remember that since it is not always possible to do so , the field commander should (after learning the doctor's information) determine the rescue route that best meets the needs of the wounded.

The term long board refers to a rescue device, sometimes called a spine board. This article is more inclined to use the word long board at the scene, so the word spine board will put pressure on the injured.

! Remember—before you save, the doctor must briefly describe the wounded to all rescue workers, detailing the medical condition of the injured person.

Who is in charge?

The field commander is responsible for the rescue of the entire process. However, in the stage of immobilization and rescue, the field commander must give control to the doctor in the vehicle. This means that the attending physician performs manual linear stabilization of the cervical spine.

Physicians are best suited to lead this phase because physicians truly understand the needs of the injured. Any diversion of the injured must be coordinated by the attending physician. If the control of the cervical spine is to undergo a position exchange (the attending physician wants to change seats), then the person who takes over the management of the cervical spine is now responsible for all steps.

During the process, the field commander may free his hands to take care of the wounded. Therefore, the on-site commander must also bring a medical hand when necessary to wear rescue gloves.

Once the rescue is completed and the injured person is removed from the vehicle, the injured must be reassessed. At this time, the on-site commander resumed full command and control of the accident, and the responsibility was transferred from the attending physician to the on-site commander.
