Since the price of glyphosate rebounded in March this year, the latest price has risen to 37,500-38,000 yuan/ton. Analysts believe that the lack of further growth in the price of glyphosate in the second half of the year is expected to be dominated by high volatility and that prices will not change much in the short term.

In January-February, the price trend of glyphosate showed a downward trend. Taking the glycine route glyphosate as an example, the average initial price of 95% glyphosate in the first quarter was 34,416 yuan/ton, the end of the first quarter The price was 33,516 yuan / ton, a decrease of 2.62%. In March-April, glyphosate ushered in the sales season, coupled with passive environmental pressure, the price bottomed out. At the end of April, the price of 95% glyphosate rose to 37,000-39,000 yuan/ton, a rise of 12.64%. From May to June, the growth of glyphosate slowed down, the price remained high and the price remained at around 37,500-38,000 yuan/ton.

In the first half of the year, there were two main reasons for the increase in the price of glyphosate: In terms of supply, environmental pressures increased, leading to limited start-ups and rising costs. The prices of mainstream manufacturers were positive. In terms of demand, during the second quarter, South America and North America entered the buying season for glyphosate. , The downstream buyers began to pick up goods for the upcoming peak season and actively place orders. At the same time, the prices of paraformaldehyde, yellow phosphorus, and glycine in the upper part of the glyphosate fluctuated at a low level and the profit margin of the industry was significantly thickened.
