According to foreign media reports, researchers from the University of Nevada and the University of Arkansas recently jointly developed a new type of wearable mechanical technology, which claims to improve the quality of life of visually impaired people. The device is still in the concept stage, and Shen and his team are still finalizing the details. A team of postdoctoral, graduate and undergraduate students will also help them with the design and test the practicality of the gloves in the lab. Shen also plans to use the project as part of a senior engineering design course, giving students the opportunity to develop new features and innovative uses for the device.
