Recently, TISCO and the State Grid Corporation signed a carbon steel sheet supply contract, marking the first time the product entered the national grid UHV project.
During the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan" period, China will invest 500 billion yuan to build a "three vertical and three horizontal" UHV AC backbone network and 11 UHV DC transmission projects. The construction of the project will inevitably bring huge steel demand. In order to seize this opportunity, since 2009, TISCO has conducted in-depth research on the organization of technology, marketing and other departments, and established business contacts with the responsible units of the State Grid, as well as major steel pipe plants and iron tower plants. After careful preparation, in November 2010, the company passed the national grid certification, becoming the first qualified supplier of carbon steel sheet, and took the first step to supply the UHV project.
